So NOW the airlines oppose fees? I think they're just sorry they can't impose these fees themselves for their own private gain.

ITA. We're comfortable financially, but our annual deductible is $5000, on top of the $500 a month we pay (our share of employer-sponsored) just for the privilege of having the insurance. One office visit alone is upwards of $150 for maybe five minutes of the doctor's attention.

Bravo to that pilot for standing up and doing what is right. His selfless actions restore a bit of my faith in humanity. I hope the poor boy is resting in peace, since he obviously didn't get any during his lifetime.

Just in case you weren't aware, "garden" in the UK means 'yard", not necessarily a little veg garden you may be picturing. Not condoning the behavior, but it may not be as harsh as it comes across in the article.

If you are serious, then look around you for abandoned horses right here and adopt one of them; horses in the US are being abandoned or neglected just as in Ireland.
